Reid Zadra wrestled in the 70 pound weight class at the state tournament. Zadra pinned his opponent in the opening round to advance to the semi-finals against the wrestler who beat him at the regional tournament. Zadra had his opponent on his back for a long time but could not get the pin. He was put on his back and the mat was slapped for a very quick pin, this loss put Zadra in the consolation side where he dominated his opponents. He came out of the tournament with a well earned third place medal. To put into perception how tough this tournament is, the champion in this weight class is ranked 5th in the nation. “Great job, Reid Zadra,” said head coach Jeff LeBleu.
