MEEKER I A 49-41 win over the West Grand Mustangs last Friday in Kremmling guaranteed the Lady Cowboys a home game in the first round of the playoffs. Meeker followed up the Northwest League victory with a 65-21 slaying of the De Beque Dragons on its home court Saturday.

Sampson graduates
MEEKER | Clint L. Sampson, 20, of Meeker was graduated from the U.S. Marine Corps boot camp Jan. 15 at San Diego. Pvt. Sampson successfully completed 13 weeks of intensive basic training as one of 75 recruits in training platoon No. 3248.

MEEKER | In the month of January, Streaker activities were as follows: Seventeen days of Chuck Wagon with seven riders, 366 stops in Meeker, including 55 medical. Six riders to Rifle for shopping, three riders to Glenwood Springs with one medical. Four church days with five riders.
