MEEKER I At the May 18 Town of Meeker board of trustees meeting, members of the board heard the results of a historical assessment of the community started last summer. Rich Sales from the University of Colorado at Denver, who has worked with the town previously, helped administrate the assessment.

The weather cooperated with us for Memorial Day weekend, allowing the Meeker High School Class of 2010 to commence without benefit of snow or rain. Although Meeker did share the honor of lowest temperature across the state with Aspen, Leadville and Craig, at 38 degrees. Congratulations, graduates!

With Meeker High School’s commencement Saturday, I attended my third graduation ceremony in four weeks. First on the list of graduations was the one at Colorado Northwestern Community College, followed by Rangely Senior High.
