Historical society quarterly meeting June 27

RBC I The Rio Blanco County Historical Society will host a quarterly meeting of the membership at Kilowatt Korner Sunday June 27 at 1 p.m. The board will provide the main dish (pork loin) and drinks, members will bring side dishes and desserts.

Letter: Fishing is Fun Day was a success

The Colorado Division of Wildlife would like to thank its community sponsors for Fishing is Fun Day: Watt’s Ranch Market donated all of the groceries for the lunch, which was provided to all of the folks who attended the special fishing event. More than 100 people were served lunch.

Letter: Tea Party offers Constituion class

The Rangely Tea Party group suggests using “The 5,000 Year Leap” book for teaching the U.S. Constitution class in middle school to replace the history/social studies class. This class would be excellent in high school as well as CNCC.

BLM extends Jarvie Ranch Fest invitations

VERNAL, Utah I The Bureau of Land Management Vernal Field Office invites the community to attend the Annual Jarvie Ranch Family Fest at the historical John Jarvie Ranch in Browns Park. The Jarvie Fest will be held on Saturday, from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Everyone is welcome.

Obituary: Mabel Ann Fazzi

Mabel Ann Fazzi Sept. 20, 1936~June 13, 2010 Mabel Ann Fazzi, 73, passed away June 13, 2010, at her residence in Silt. Ann was born Sept. 20, 1936, in Grand Junction, to John Rex and Mabel Bell (Dean) Robinson. She married Fred Fazzi on Jan. 15, 1957, in Las Vegas.
