BLM hosts student art contest

RBC I The Bureau of Land Management’s Colorado office, in partnership with the Public Lands Foundation and the Center of the American West, will host a juried art contest for Colorado high school students to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the General Land Office.  

Vehicle use limited to existing roads

RBC | With a mild winter continuing and spring fast approaching, the Bureau of Land Management’s Little Snake Field Office is reminding the public that motorized vehicle use within the majority of its boundaries in Moffat, Routt and northern Rio Blanco counties is now limited to existing roads and trails.

RBC Woolgrowers meeting March 2

MEEKER | The annual meeting of the Rio Blanco County Woolgrowers will be Friday, March 2, at Kilowatt Korner. The Trail Association will meet at 8 a.m. and the general meeting begins at 10 a.m.

Congrats to Justin Hardy for earning third place in the state wrestling championship in 2A at 170 pounds. Great work, Justin! And kudos to the Meeker High School boys’ basketball team for their conference championship this year!

Rangely boys end with victory

RANGELY — Last Saturday night the Rangely Panthers ended league play on a high note with a victory over Hayden 82-70. Even after a very tough victory over Meeker Friday night, the Panthers came out strong and outscored Hayden 20-8 in the first quarter. The game was never close.

Williams hosts open house

RBC — Northwest Pipeline GP (Northwest), one of the Williams Companies, currently owns and operates an interstate natural gas pipeline which crosses portions of Rio Blanco County. The pipeline provides natural gas service to several states throughout the west including markets in Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, Idaho, Oregon and Washington.

MHS Cowboys defeat Dragons, tame Wildcats
