Home canned gifts?
RBC I Last week one of my neighbors brought over the most beautiful jar of home-canned green beans. The beans were packed all uniformly, the color was a perfect green and the lid was securely sealed on the jar.

Everyone is invited to the Meeker Homecoming parade at 2 p.m. Friday, following a barbecue on the courthouse lawn to benefit the MHS athletic department starting at 11:30 a.m. Meeker will host the Paonia Eagles in volleyball and football Friday night.
Higher learning commission visits
RANGELY I A five-member team from the Higher Learning Commission (HLC), a regional accreditor for the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (NCA), arrived at Colorado Northwestern Community College last week for a comprehensive visit that will determine the school’s future accreditation.

Community notified of SVP
MEEKER I Law enforcement officials held a community notification meeting Sept. 26, to inform the public of a Sexually Violent Predator (SVP) living in Meeker.
