Network group meets Tuesday
RBC I The next meeting of the Community Networking Group will be held Tuesday in Rangely with the topic being broadband for Rio Blanco County.

Each month, the Rangely 4-H kids do community pride projects, and this past weekend saw the kids at the Devries’ Pumpkin Patch, where they picked more than 300 pumpkins and donated them to Rangely Community Gardens. RHS volleyball splits matches
RANGELY I Rangely High School girls’ volleyball team won one and lost one over the weekend, beating Caprock Academy and losing to Soroco Saturday.
Meeker Cowboys rip Grand Valley 52-0 for Homecoming victory
MEEKER I Disney was the theme for the 2014 Meeker Homecoming festivities, and like most Disney productions, which end happily, so did the football game in Starbuck Stadium, where fans witnessed the Meeker Cowboys shut out the Grand Valley Cardinals 52-0.
From My Window… Vote for broadband issue 1A; congrats Cowboys and Broncos
Whether I sit close to the window or with my nose pressed against the pane, the subject of local ballot initiative 1A, which would pave the way for Rio Blanco County to get broadband, is clear as a bell a winning proposition.
MES book fair tonight, Friday
MEEKER I For those who love reading, the annual Scholastic Book Fair at Meeker Elementary School will be held this evening and Friday morning.
MHS Homecoming 2014
Luke Pelloni of the Meeker Fire Department pumps accelerant onto the Meeker High School Homecoming bonfire at the Rio Blanco County Fairgrounds. The fire sparked a great Homecoming in which the MHS football team won 52-0 over Grand Valley. For more Homecoming photos, see below.
