Gilbert Donald “Don” LeFevre died Monday, Jan. 26, 2015, at Pioneers Medical Center in Meeker. Services will be held at the Masonic Lodge Building in Meeker at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 31, 2015. A complete obituary will follow.

Meeker boys’ basketball team wins two more, remains unbeaten
MEEKER I The Meeker High School boys’ basketball team continued on a roll over the weekend as the Cowboys added two more wins to their unbeaten streak.

RANGELY I This past week, the Rangely Middle School basketball teams traveled to Soroco Thursday. The A team played pretty well but lost by a score of 25-14.
Wanted felon arrested at Meeker apartment
MEEKER I On Monday the Meeker Police Department announced that on Jan. 21 Meeker police officer Gardner Mendenhall developed information that led to locating Matthew Finley, 28, who was wanted out of Mesa County on a nationwide no-bond warrant for charges related to dangerous drugs.
From My Window… 2014 warmer than 2013; gas prices becoming local issue again
I enjoy facts and figures regarding the weather. Maybe it is because I have been exposed to both extremes in my life. While I did basically grow up in Colorado Springs and Boulder, which are mild areas of heat and cold, I have lived in the more extreme climates.
