MEEKER I The White River Electric Association would like to thank its members for their patience and support as the headquarters remodel project continues. The remodel is necessary to repair damage caused by a broken pipe that flooded the office building on Jan. 1, 2015.
Rangely takes closer look at Better City’s development proposal
RANGELY I On Jan. 12, the Rangely Town Council and Rio Blanco County Commissioner Jeff Eskelson along with county Economic Development Director Katelin Cook met with the Better City group via phone conference to discuss funding and next steps in the process of redeveloping the town’s economic footing.

RANGELY I The Rangely High School girls’ basketball team played an extremely tough Paonia team and came up short, but they look forward to two home games this weekend as they host Hotchkiss on Friday night and Caprock Academy on Saturday.

MEEKER I The Meeker High School wrestling Cowboys easily won the Vern Rose Memorial Wrestling Tournament in Rangely on Saturday, and this week the squad will wrestle in the Screaming Eagle Wrestling Tournament in Paonia, which will feature five of the top six 2A teams in Colorado.

From My Window: State Park and Wildlife Commission wisely says no to wolves; Go Broncos!
Great news for Colorado’s Western Slope came out of last week’s meeting of the Colorado Park and Wildlife Commission meeting in Pueblo, where the commission not only shot down the notion of a grey wolf reintroduction to Colorado but also passed an anti-wolf reintroduction resolution.
