RANGELY — Howard Robinson, 87, of Rifle was injured in a four-wheeler rollover accident Sunday, April 19.
Robinson was reported missing about 4 p.m., and “was found about an hour before dark by a couple of rock crawlers from Rangely,” said Rio Blanco County Sheriff Si Woodruff.
Eric Striegel and Shane Key found Robinson about four miles southeast of Rangely.
“He had gone to check on sheep about 5:30 that morning and no one had seen him,” Woodruff said of Robinson.
Rangely Rock Crawlers, members of the Rangely Fire Department and Sheriff’s deputies participated in the search for Robinson, while Lance Coulter of Coulter Aviation in Meeker conducted an aerial search.
