RANGELY I The CNCC rodeo team have represented us well this fall. We have some room to make up this spring to match last year’s performance as a team, but we still have some hard working athletes who are striving to punch their ticket to the CNFR in Casper, Wyo., in June.
Currently CNCC men’s team is ranked No. 16 in the nation, No. 4 in the region.
Johnny (Varin) Pavkov is the No. 4 all-around cowboy nationally, No. 2 in the Rocky Mountain Region
He is No. 13 nationally, No. 3 in the region in steer wrestling, and also is No. 14 nationally and No. 2 regionally in the team roping with partner JD Slagowski who is also No. 10 regionally in the tie down roping as well.
Colt Spidle in the saddle bronc riding is currently No. 22 in the nation, No. 5 in the region.
Sophomore barrel racer Shawnie Stone-Swedberg is No. 10 in the region.
Sophomore breakaway roper Teague Crane is No. 14 in the nation and No. 2 in the region.
A huge thank you goes out to our incredibly supportive and positive community, administration, faculty and staff. Without all of you and the team that is CNCC, we would not be where we are.
