Coed Softball championship scheduled for tonight

MEEKER I Rain delayed the start of the annual coed softball tournament sponsored by the ERBM Recreation and Park District by one day. Although the teams at press time had not been determined, the championship game(s) will be played tonight at Paintbrush Park starting at 8:15 p.m.
Ace Trucking entered the league tournament undefeated (10-0) and the No. 1 seed in the tournament. Ace Trucking defeated What You Want in the first round of the tournament, matching them against Rangely True Value (6-4), last year’s champions, in the semifinals played last night.
There are 11 teams in the league and What You Want (4-6) defeated PMC (2-8) in a pigtail game of the double elimination tournament before losing to Ace Trucking. Rangely True Value defeated C&D Productions (7-3) to advance to the semifinals.
On the bottom side of the bracket, the No. 2 seeded Renninger Log Homes (7-3) defeated Natural Soda (4-6) to advance to the semifinal game against ERBM (7-3). Natural Soda defeated WREA (2-8) before losing to Renninger Log Homes and the Enforcers (1-9) defeated Westlands Rancheros (5-5) before losing to ERBM.
Losers of the semifinal games will drop into the losers bracket and will have had to win one game Wednesday to play the first team to lose in the winners bracket.
Depending on which team loses at 8:15 tonight, a second and deciding game may be needed to determine the champion.
