Community Calendar: October 27, 2016

– The Meeker Library Book Club meets at 1 p.m. the second Monday of each month (excluding holidays). The next meeting will be Nov. 14. We will be discussing “The Little Paris Bookshop” by Nina George. All interested readers are welcome. Stop by the Meeker Library for details.

– Quilting Group. Tuesdays from 6-9 p.m. at Kilowatt Korner. Bring your sewing machine and project.

– Adult Open Gym Volleyball Tuesdays from 7:30-8:30 p.m. in the MES Gym. Adults 18+ invited to volleyball open gym. Program will continue until Nov. 15. Call 878-3403 or visit meekerrecdistrict.com.

– Children’s Story Hour Wednesdays at 10 a.m. at the Meeker Public Library.

– Adult Open Gym Pickleball Wednesdays from 1-2:30 p.m. in the Admin Gym. Adults 18+ invited to pickleball open gym. Program will continue each Wednesday until Nov. 16. Call 878-3403 or visit meekerrecdistrict.com.

– VFW Tootsie Care Day Oct. 29 from 12-3 p.m. Toenail trimming for anyone 74 years and younger that has trouble with this task. Please call 878-5738 to schedule appointment. Vicki will call you back.

– Gentleman’s Club meeting at 10 a.m. each Thursday morning at the VFW, 290 4th St. in Meeker.

– Halloween pool parties at the Meeker Recreation Center pool Oct. 28. Parties throughout the day for 6 and under, K-5th and 6th-8th grades. Visit meekerrecdistrict.com or call 878-3403.

– Wagon Wheel OHV Club monthly meeting Wednesday Nov. 2 in the Kilowatt Korner (233 6th St.) at 7 p.m.

– A free legal clinic for parties who have no attorney, will be featured from 2-3:30 p.m Tuesday, Nov. 1 at the Meeker Public Library at 490 Main St. By computer link, volunteer attorneys will answer questions, help fill out forms, and explain the process and procedure for all areas of civil litigation, including family law, property law, probate law, collections, appeals, landlord-tenant law, small claims, veterans issues, and civil protection orders. Please contact the Meeker Public Library at 970-878-5911 to be added to the sign-up sheet.

– Meeker annual Craft and Gift Show. Friday, Nov. 4 from 4-8 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 5 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Huge selection of unique hand-crafted items. Sponsored by the Ladies Social Club.
