Community input sought for airport plan

Listen to this post

MEEKER | Rio Blanco County is beginning work on an Airport Master Plan at Meeker Airport Coulter Field. You are invited to attend the first of five public meetings on Feb. 26 at 6 p.m. at the courthouse. An airport master plan is a comprehensive study of an airport that describes short (1-5 years), medium (6-10 years), and long-term (11-20 years) development plans to meet future and unmet aviation demand. Feedback from the local community and airport users is critical for development a successful Airport Master Plan.

  1. There needs to be a restaurant at the airport for general aviation. My son in law is a pilot for these small jets and flies into airports like Big Bear in California. These small airports are making money as well as the towns because a lot of people with small planes need a destination. Why not lunch….
