Meeker golf pro Jim Cook tees off No. 2 New Year’s Day as Kent Rath, Harry Watt and Kai Turner watch. More than a dozen people brought in the new year playing nine holes at the Meeker Golf Course. Cook said the last time he played on New Year’s Day was in the early 1990s when he golfed with Dale Frisby. “We should be out here sledding with our kids, not golfing,” Joe Sullivan said before teeing off with family and friends.
