MEEKER | The Meeker High School National Honor Society (NHS) will hold its annual induction ceremony Monday, May 14 at 7 p.m. at the Meeker High School auditorium. NHS President Sierra Williams announced that Kay Bivens will keynote. Bivens, who has long been a favorite of many Meeker students, is well known for her tireless work as an school librarian putting books in the hands of children and bringing literature to life through their character reenactments.
“She made every student feel special,” Logan Hughes, NHS secretary, said.
NHS will induct 27 new members at this spring gathering and honor a community member, an area business, and a school staff member for their outreach and support of the Meeker School District, its students and its staff.
Community members are welcome to attend the induction ceremony.
