Stockgrowers fair barbecue canceled

RBC | After much thought and consideration to the potential risks associated with COVID-19 the Stockgrowers’ Association events committee has made the tough decision not to have a barbecue during the county fair this year. Please stay tuned for another fundraising opportunity later in the year! Thank you for your understanding.

RBC | Some of the most popular topics have been bundled to save you money and make enrollment even easier. CNCC financial assistance for seniors

MEEKER | Senior citizens residing in Meeker and in Moffat County are able to try new non credit online classes this summer for 50% off. You must be 62 years old or older and able to prove you live in Meeker to qualify for funds provided by a Fairfield Foundation Grant. Moffat County residents 55 and older qualify as a result of funding provided by the Moffat County Affiliated Junior College District Board.  Funding is limited and available first-come-first served. To take advantage of this opportunity:

1. Select the classes you’d like to take by visiting: https://www.ed2go.com/cncc-enrichment/

2. Before you check out, email [email protected] or call 970-824-1109 to arrange to pay your share of the class fee/s.

3. Once payment is received we’ll provide you with a passcode to complete your class registration.  

Hundreds of online classes offer a little something for everyone. Learn something new, before grant dollars run out!


CNCC needs fall instructors, class ideas

RANGELY | We’re looking for new, fresh class ideas for our community programs. If there’s a class, workshop, study club or other learning opportunity you would like to teach or something new that you’d like to try, then we want to hear from you!  Our Workforce Training and Community Programs instructors do not need to have a degree. Send us your ideas by July 24 by completing the form at: https://bit.ly/cncc-ClassRequest

RBC Fair open class registration

RBC | Early registration for open class entries will be Wednesday, July 29 (3-7 p.m.) and Thursday, July 30 (12-6 p.m.). Bring your open class entry form or a list of projects that you may or may not enter into the 2020 Fair. All entries will be entered into the online system and tags will be ready for check-in on Wednesday, Aug. 5 (6-8 p.m.) or Thursday, Aug. 6 (7-9 a.m.). If you are unable to register on July 29 and 30, please drop off your form or list to the Extension Office before Aug. 5 to speed up the check-in process. If you have questions, please call the Extension Office at 878-9490.
