Longtime Meeker resident Bonnie J. French, 70, died July 14, 2009, at the Baptist Hospital in Oklahoma City.
Bonnie was born Sept. 22, 1938, in Meeker, the daughter of Leasil and Josephine (Thompson) French. Bonnie worked as a waitress for many years and was a clerk at Watt’s Ranch Market as well.
Bonnie was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She enjoyed collecting dolls, fishing, camping and arrowhead hunting.
Survivors include her son, Mike Rippy and his wife Brenda of Rock Springs, Wyo.; her mother, Josephine French of Meeker; five grandchildren, Ramanda Bradley, Gordon Bradley, Joe Rippy and his wife Misty, Ryan Parker and his wife Laci, and Christopher Parker; 10 great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Shirley Randall, Betty Pritchard, Margaret Davis and Patsy Story and her husband Larry.
Bonnie is preceded in death by her daughter, Debbie Seebaum; her granddaughter, Elizabeth Rippy; her father, Leasil; a brother, Leasil Duane; a sister, Sharlene; and her former husband Larry Rippy.
Funeral services were held Monday, July 20 from Cochran Memorial Chapel with Bishop Brady Ross officiating. Interment was made in the Highland Cemetery in Meeker.
