Lynn Watson passed away April 1, 2009, at Pioneers Hospital with friends and some family members at her side.
Lynn was born April 12, 1951, to Cryil and Nellie (Gray) Holffman in Craig, Colo.
Lynn lived in Meeker for many years and spent a lot of that time cooking at local resturants. She cooked at El Rancho, Meeker Cafe, V.F.W., golf course and most recently at Clarks. She was at Clarks for more than 20 years showing her “Heart of Gold” to her many friends, both co-workers and customers. She always put others before herself.
People around town knew her little red truck with the American Flag on the antenna. She loved her country and all forms of life and wasn’t afraid to show it. She is survived by her brothers John and James Jennings, sisters Janet Hollenger and Regina Cartwright as well as lots of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Wayne Dalton.
Her memorial service was held April 6 at her church, Holy Family Catholic Church.
She never wanted people to go “without” and would like her friends to donate to the Food Bank, Giving Tree or a local organization of there choice. Donations may be made through Cochran Memorial Chapel which was in charge of her service.
A graveside service will be held at a later date.
I worked with Lynn at Clarks back in 94/95. She was a wonderful person, a real pistol you might say.
She always tried to be tough or to at least act that way..but, deep inside we all knew she was a real sweetheart. I will miss her..dearly.
