Peggy Lorraine Lopez, 70, of Meeker passed away at the Walbridge Wing in Meeker on Nov. 30, 2011. She was born March 7, 1940, in Fresno, Calif., to Paul and Grace McCoon Spomer.
She was married to Raymond Lopez and had lived in Meeker for 11 years.
Peggy was a member of the United Methodist Church and was in the church choir. She enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and camping, music, crafts, making dolls, sewing and she especially loved Christmas.
She is survived by her husband Ray; sons John (Susan) Palmer, Phil (Debbie) Lopez, Tim (Deenie) Palmer, Ron (Donna) Palmer, John Ray Lopez and Rusty Lopez; daughters Vickie Lopez, Pam Lopez, Marcella Stapleton and Wendy (Richard) Cook; 21 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren and sister Paulette (Tom) Ulrey.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son-in-law David Stepleton and sister Dona Wilson.
Memorial services will be held today, Dec. 15 at 2 p.m. at the Meeker United Methodist Church.
Donations in memory of Peggy can be made to the First National Bank of Meeker for the United Methodist Church or Walbridge Wing activities fund for music.
Care and services for Peggy were entrusted to the care of the Blackburn Rio Blanco Funeral Home in Meeker.
