Tyler James Robie of Rangely, Colo., passed away on Friday, Jan. 1, 2016. at the age of 29. Tyler was born on July 25, 1986, to Donnell Jr. and Karen Robie.
Tyler was a 2005 graduate of Rangely High School. While in high school, he was active in sports, bridge building, FBLA, The Knowledge Bowl and student council.
Following graduation, Tyler attended the University of Northern Colorado. Upon returning to Rangely, he went to work for Blu-H Well Service.
After a devastating hand injury, Tyler chose to pursue a career in the electrical field. He has been employed by Ducey’s Electric for the last year.
Tyler enjoyed the time he spent with daughter Taytum, writing poetry, listening to music, playing the drums, molding clay figurines, gaming, making people laugh and, most of all, a night of karaoke.
Tyler leaves behind his treasured daughter, Taytum.
He will be greatly missed by: his mother and stepfather, Karen and Casey Wilder; his brother, Donnell III and sister-in-law Candra Robie; his sister, Tiffany and brother-in-law Greg Skelton; stepsister and brother Kara and Kylen Wilder; grandparents Donnell Sr. and Carolee Robie, Roy and Helen Carbone and Shirley Sinclair; aunts and uncles Rory and Marty Robie, Mike and Diana Carbone; along with several cousins, nieces and friends. Tyler was proceeded in death by his father, Donnell Robie Jr.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, a Memorial Fund has been set up at The Bank of the San Jauns in Rangely. This fund is to be put into a trust for Tyler’s daughter, Taytum.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday Jan. 6, 2016, at Rangely Christian Church; a viewing was held one hour prior to the services.
Burial was in Rangely Cemetery under the direction of Blackburn Vernal Mortuary.
