The artwork signifying that the Rector Building is a building of science is now in place. The DNA molecule sculpture, which spans from corner to corner on one wall of the Rector Science Building is a multi-colored long coiled double helix that resembles a spiral staircase. Peggy Rector said the model represents science and the Rector Building is all about science. She said she is pleased with the sculpture and believes that all who pass by will know what the building stands for.
