Several RHS students named to Academic All-State teams

Ten athletes at Rangely High School were named to the first team all-state academic team and one to the honorable mention all-state team last week by the Colorado High School Activities Association (CHSAA). RANGELY I Several Rangely High School athletes have been named to the Colorado academic all-state teams by the Colorado High School Activities Association and one to the honorable mention list.
Criteria to be chosen to the first team are: 3.60 or higher cumulative grade point average; minimum junior academic standing; must be a letter winner or equivalent in the activity nominated for; and the winner must be a participant in a CHSAA-sponsored activity during the current season.
RHS football players chosen to the first team are Ethan Allred and Cameron Enterline.
Volleyball players named to the first team all-state list are Aimee Hogan, McKale Pennell, Chelsea Ficken and Simone Heinle.
Cross-country members of first-team all-state are Tessa Slagle, Mitchell Webber and Tanner Nielsen.
Criteria for honorable mention all-state are: 3.30 to 3.59 cumulative grade point average; minimum junior academic standing; must be a letter winner or equivalent in the activity nominated; and must be a participant in a CHSAA-sponsored activity during current season.
A member of the RHS football team named honorable mention all-state was Layne Mecham.
