RANGELY | Rangely Police Department and the Rio Blanco Sheriff’s Office have apprehended a 17-year-old juvenile after a joint investigation into four brush fires in Rangely that caused minor property damage.
The fires occurred on March 31, April 1 and April 8. They were contained quickly, but all were “deemed suspicious” according to a press release posted by the Rangely Police Department to their Facebook page today, April 9.
Fires were set near La Mesa Circle, Halfturn Road, West Rodeo Road and CR46 and 23A.
Rangely PD had previously posted an update regarding small brush fires near West Rodeo Road Wednesday, also to their Facebook page.
No further details were released.
