2012 Capitol Christmas Tree is a gift to the nation

The spirit of Christmas is coming early this year to Meeker, as the 2012 Capitol Christmas Tree will be a “gift to the nation” from the White River National Forest and the people of Colorado. The banner invites everyone to the celebration, which will start Nov. 2 with the tree cutting and continues with a street fair, 5K, games and a parade of lights Nov. 3, before the tree is wrapped and begins its 30 day journey to our nation’s capitol in Washington, D.C.
