2021 Unofficial Election Results – Round 2

RBC | The second round of unofficial election results up voter turnout to 38.25% from 30.83%. 1,675 ballots were cast; there are 4,379 active voters in Rio Blanco County.

The biggest items on RBC’s ballot were school board elections in both Meeker and Rangely, and a school bond in Rangely. Here’s the second round of preliminary results.

MEEKER SCHOOL DISTRICT BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Winners: Ann Franklin, Bill deVergie (incumbent), Hanna Borchard and Anthony Theos.

RANGELY SCHOOL DISTRICT BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Winners: Jerry LeBleu, Jason Cox (incumbent) and Casey Ducey (incumbent)

BALLOT ISSUE 4A – RANGELY SCHOOL BOND

Ballot Issue 4A, better know as the Rangely School District bond issue, failed by 45 votes.

STATEWIDE ISSUES

Rio Blanco County voted against all the statewide measures (Amendment 78 and Propositions 119 and 120), which is in line with preliminary results from the rest of the state.

VOTER TURNOUT

Voter turnout was the lowest it’s been in four years, with just 38.25% of active voters casting ballots.
