MEEKER | Run (or walk) a 5K on the 4th! This year’s Run for Your Life 5K is an event for all ages and abilities. Bring your family, pets (on a leash) and friends. This fun annual event is put on by ERBM Recreation and Park District.
The cost of the race is $20 if you pre-register by 4 p.m. July 3. Call 970-878-3403 to pre-register or stop by the Meeker Recreation Center at 101 Ute Road.
The latest you can register is 7:15 a.m. on race day. Late registration is $30. Come to the ERBM tent near the starting line to pick up your race packet. Anyone not signed up by 7:15 a.m. is welcome to join the route but will not be timed.
The race starts at the Downtown Plaza at 7:45 a.m. Walkers will be awarded separately form runners. There will be a 1.5 hour time limit to finish.
After the race, enjoy the parade downtown beginning at 10 a.m., followed by the ERBM Stars N’ Stripes 3-on-3 basketball tournament at the Admin Building, 555 Garfield Street, beginning at 12 p.m.
