Getting ready for the second annual Meeker Mustang Makeover

RBC | Some very lucky wild mustangs were picked up yesterday for the Meeker Mustang Makeover (MMM) competition.

This is the second year for the event. The purpose, according to MMM’s website, is “to showcase the horses of the Piceance-East Douglas Herd Management Area and to to help prepare mustangs for adoption and use while educating the public about the wild horse population in northwest Colorado.”

MMM gives trainers of all skill levels 100 days to teach their horses a variety of skills, which will then be showcased at the September 11, 2020 event.

The HT spoke with the Allred family of Rangely, Cosette McLaughlin of Steamboat, and the Wood family of Meeker, who will all be participating in this year’s challenge. Watch the video below.

Watch for more coverage in the coming weeks, and mark your calendars for the event.
