Meeker Locals: June 5, 2008

MEEKER — With all the dire warnings about the imminent growth of Rio Blanco County and the town of Meeker, maybe its time we pull our heads out of the sand of unbelief and start thinking about what things might look like five or 10 years from now. If the projected figures are even partially correct, we’ve got growth a’comin’, whether we like it or not. How we handle it is going to be entirely up to us.
And a friendly reminder: When visiting the local parks, please clean up after yourselves, whether you are an oldtimer or a newbie, a native or a transplant. Some of our public parks have been stricken with litter of late and it’s a shame to see.
