Ice sculpture…

Taking on a new art form due to sun and the heat, the ice tower at Colorado Northwest Community College is erected every year and used for ice climbing instruction as well as recreation. In particular, students can learn how to climb on ice before going on the CNCC Outdoor Recreation Program trip to the Ouray Ice Park. This year the sculpture reached 55 feet into the sky and was climbable for about three months.
