Brecken McElhaney, left, smiles with his mom, Christy, and brother Brody during the Rangely Community Gardens’ third annual fundraiser barbecue in front of Rangely True Value on Saturday, netting roughly $400 that will be used to extend the gardens’ water line. True Value owner Rodger Polley sponsored the event again this year, which featured hot dogs, chips, drinks and a gas grill drawing. Volunteers and youth also planted the town’s flowers along Main Street last week. A campaign is also under way to raise money for a small tractor or ATV to help with plowing.
