Alan Ducey of Ducey’s Electric, Friends of the Tank executives Bruce Odland, Lois LaFond and Mark McCoin and Moon Lake Electric Association (MLEA) District Manager Bob Kissling discuss the logistics of connecting power to the water tank west of Rangely. The Friends executives spent four days in Rangely in October meeting with MLEA, local contractors and county officials to ready the sound space, which more than 750 sponsors committed to save by giving more than $46,000 in March for community and performance use. At various stages of completion are plans to bring electricity to the tank, build an access road and complete the process for a conditional-use permit.
