Bonnie RuckmanBonnie Ruckman, the director of the Rio Blanco County Department of Human Services, spent plenty of time cutting her retirement cake on Monday afternoon at Meeker Town Hall. Ruckman was a caseworker for the department for 13 years and she spent 24 years as department director. Ruckman and her husband, Bob, whom she met in Europe in 1966, are looking forward to U.S. and international travel as well as spending more time with the grandchildren. “It has been a wonderful experience and I have worked with some wonderful people,” she said. “It is time for me to go now and enjoy some other things. Thanks to everyone at the town; you will all be remembered.”
