CNCC Foundation President Peggy Rector and CNCC President Russell George, presented Fred Slagle, center, the CNCC Supporter of the Year Award. “Fred is the Encana front man around here, and they help the college a lot,” George said. “But more than that, he and his family — wife Carla and daughter Tessa — are always there when anything needs to be done. Fred and his family were so honored because they are all involved, and we are most grateful for all the help they offer.”
There was a good dinner crowd on hand Saturday on the Colorado Northwestern Community College campus for the 10th annual CNCC Foundation Dinner and Dance event in Rangely. Roughly 120 people were in attendance for the event, which featured dinner, entertainment, awards and a silent auction, followed by a standard auction. Before expenses are figured in, CNCC officials said Tuesday, more than $55,000 was raised by the event.
