At the meeting of the Town Council last week it was decided to cut down all the trees in the Town Park and to replant it at a cost of $500. Our councilmen seem to think the trees are objectionable because they are native, but in our opinion they are prettier than the Carolina poplars which it is proposed to plant in their stead.
