Mike Connel the noted wrestler and all ‘round athlete, dropped into town this week on a visit to his old stamping ground.
Mr. and Mrs. Ed Brown were in from their summer residence on Big Beaver in the early part of the week, visiting Meeker friends.

The delinquent tax list takes up thirty-four columns of space in the Steamboat Sentinel. In this country we have four columns which makes for very good showing in Rio Blanco county, always the best showing in the state.
We wish most sincerely to thank our friends and neighbors, who so kindly gave us their help and sympathy in our time of need at the passing of our time Mother and Grandmother.

The Bill Dunbar family has recently moved to 381 Hill St. formerly occupied by Mr. and Mrs. Pat Sullivan and sons. The Sullivans have moved to the remodeled Nichols home at 133 4th St.
Three hundred Meeker Elementary students are participating in the Soil and Water Conservation Poster Contest sponsored by the White River Soil Conservation District and Meeker Women’s Club.
Word of the death of Mrs. Della Cloud in Port Angeles, Washington was received here Saturday morning.

The school board informally agreed that it would ask state legislators to exempt school district driver education vehicles from taxes.
Friday, Nov. 12 St. James Guild hosted the monthly birthday party, without a single birthday, which was most unusual.
The Junior Meekerettes cheerleading program, sponsored through the rec district, has started its winter session.

Booster club will be meeting the first and third Thursday of every month at 7:30 pm in the junior high.
The Grand Opening of Colorado West Printing and Photography will be held Friday at 832 E. Main, the former post office building.
Rangely District Hospital underwent inspection by the Colorado State Health Department last Wednesday and Thursday. Six inspectors from the department reviewed all equipment, employees and procedures with respect to patient care and infection control.

Now that the Colorado high school volleyball season came to a close on Nov, 13th the past season honors are now being awarded. Rangely athlete, Devon Widner, has been chosen to participate in the Colorado Coaches of Girls’ Sports/Spalding All-State volleyball games.
Family members from five states: Colorado, Utah, Nevada, Wyoming, and North Carolina gathered in Richfield , Utah on Aug 21, to honor their father, grandfather, great- grandfather, and great-great-grandfather, Lowel Brady, on his 100th birthday. He is a former resident of Rangely.
