Tomorrow, March 14, is Pi (π) day. Pi is a mathematical constant, approximately equal to 3.14159, that is the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter.
Pi day, as an unofficial holiday, is a perfect excuse to eat a piece of pie! While reading up on the Great Depression I came across a recipe for vinegar pie, one of several “desperation pie” recipes created using ingredients that were available and affordable at the time. Unfortunately, the recipe calls for three eggs, which in today’s economy makes it more decadent than desperate!

🚰 White River Basin Declared Over-Appropriated
The Colorado State Division of Water has officially designated the White River Basin as over-appropriated, effective May 1, 2025. After an undefeated season, the Panthers lost 52-29 to Akron in the Sweet 16. Coach Jimmie Mergelman commended the players for their dedication and success this season.
