Link Tagert returned to the county seat Thursday morning after completing his work of assessing the western end of the county. Link says they were all glad to see him and all gave him the “glad hand.”

The bathrooms at the Antlers Steam Laundry are fitted up in first class style. 

The warm days of the early part of this week brought down an increased volume of water from the White river region.

The class of 1925 at Rio Blanco County High School is the largest class that has ever graduated from the school, as well as the largest class of boys, there being ten boys and four girls.

The daily service on the Moffat railroad is scheduled to start Sunday, May 17th.

Mr. and Mrs. Ambrose Oldland, Miss Margaret and John motored to Glenwood last Sunday and spent the day visiting the Delaney family.

Range Call Royalty are as follows: Leslie Coley as queen, Annette Chambers as first attendant, and Marci Kracht as second attendant.

Meeker High School’s 68th annual Baccalaureate Services will honor 47 graduating seniors Sunday, May 18, at 8 o’clock in the evening.

Mary Villa, Meeker Grade and Junior High Music instructor, will be presenting her students in a spring concert next Thursday, May 22.

On May 12, the Society of American Foresters and the Barone Middle School environmental education class planted a “Centennial Grove” of trees in Paintbrush Park.

Billy Bibb, Brandy Dade, and Tanisha Gates qualified for the state track meet.

Long time Meeker High School Biology teacher/wrestling coach/football coach/cross country coach/unofficial girls basketball coach Bill Turner is retiring this year, and his family and friends are hosting a fundraising dinner and dance Saturday, May 27 to mark the occasion.

Fred Nichols celebrated his 91st birthday with a party in his home Sunday, April 27. Born April 28, 1885, in Palace Park outside of Meeker, Nichols has lived in Rangely for the last forty years, and, according to Joy Hume, his health is improving every day. 

Five Panther track men earned a trip to the State Track Meet in Boulder tomorrow and Saturday.

Four Panthers made the 1975 Northwest AA All-Conference Baseball squad and Rangely Coach Jack Elder was selected coach of the year last week.

Eric Pratt, a 1998 graduate of Rangely High School, has received recognition at Snow College in Ephraim, Utah, for his academic achievements.

On May 10, Rangely High School senior Paul Fortunato signed his letter of intent to play both football and baseball at St. Mary’s in Leavenworth, Kansas.

The 37th Commencement Ceremony was held at the CNCC Rangely Campus Hefley Gym on May 6. Approximately 100 students received diplomas.
