I just got back from delivering papers this morning and realized the newsletter failed to send as scheduled, but it’s a fortuitous flub… While on the newspaper route I learned two young ladies from Meeker are raising money to participate in competitive gymnastics and they have a Friday deadline for fundraising. If you can help, scan the codes below or look up the Venmo accounts listed!

It’s been a week, and it feels like there aren’t any other kind of weeks these days. If it all seems overwhelming, it is. Our brains are not wired to live in a state of constant intrusive information dumps, such as we get while glued to a screen. Just daily existence is plenty stressful. It’s no wonder that so many of us live in a state of chronic anger and anxiety. If we were living in a war zone we’d expect it. We fail to see, or acknowledge, that we’re living in an information war zone.
Speaking of war zones (I’m still listening to “The Winds of War” audiobook), did you know the distance across the English Channel from Britain to France at its narrowest point is only about 21 miles? That’s half the distance from Meeker to Rifle! Gives a little perspective, and made me think of this:
