The warm weather has been hurting the ice skating program lately but School Board members felt the response from the public has been good this year and voted Monday to fund the remainder of the ice rink behind the Jr. High School.
Nick Theos, prominent Meeker area rancher, was named chairman of the new Colorado Multiple Use Advisory Board.

Rangely got a new ambulance. The new ambulance is a 1975 Dodge, Beck-Rank, fully equipped with the latest in emergency and extrication equipment.
The Future Homemakers of America will hold their annual box supper, a fundraising event on January 27th at 7:30 in the High School.

Young John Mack Sheridan and Kaylee Turner were recently skating on the ice rink at the City Park in Meeker.
Decreased enrollment, reduced tax levy, and a loss of dual enrollment for high school students have all severely impacted the community college in Rangely.
The seventh and eighth grade girls from Barone Middle School opened their season against the Rangely Panthers at Meeker High School. The BMS seventh graders lost their only game while the eighth graders split with the Panthers.
