Daylight Saving Time snuck up on us! This Saturday night, it’s time to “spring forward” one hour!
In a town this size, the real challenge isn’t finding something to do — it’s figuring out which thing to do when they all land on the same night.
That was Tuesday for me. The town board of trustees moved its meeting earlier than usual to accommodate the county Republican caucus. At the exact same time as the caucus, the middle school band and choir concert — featuring two of my grandkids — was happening at the school.

I sent Jared to the caucus while I headed to the concert. The auditorium was packed. I haven’t had a chance to compare notes with Jared yet, but I’d bet the caucus was well attended, too.
That kind of turnout — whether it’s for civic meetings or middle school concerts — says a lot about a community. People here show up, and that’s something worth being proud of.
