MEEKER I Jeff and Kristen Eskelson purchased Rocky Mountain Bowstrings, Inc., from Bill and Erma Rucker in 2010, and since then the business has continued to thrive and grow.
Rocky Mountain Bowstrings, Inc., produces archery bowstrings for the OEM (original equipment manufacturer) archery production business.
Since 2010, the Eskelsons have more than quadrupled their customer base and string production volume, Jeff said.
Eskelson, an engineer in heavy industrial manufacturing for 20 years, explained that he is able to design and build automation equipment his competitors either cannot afford or cannot design.
“These machines allow higher volume production while being able to hold to the toughest bowstrings standards in the industry,” he said.
Eskelson said that with the strong increase in customer base and sales, Rocky Mountain Bowstrings needed more production space, so, in the spring of this year, the Eskelsons started working toward purchasing the adjacent property to their current operation at 178 Main St.
The building is 6,000 square feet and, Eskelson said, will be used primarily to expand the growing bowstring business.
