Rangely

More Crab Crack…

Alaskan king crab and chamber business awards were the big draw on the evening of Feb. 6 as the Rangely Chamber of Commerce hosted its annual Crab Crack, which also serves as the chamber’s annual awards night. A big man enjoying a massive crab claw was Shannon Brumfield, pastor of Rangely Christian Church. In addition to the large claw, Brumfield and the church were the recipients of the Community Service Project of the Year Award, which covered several different projects.

As well as feeding at least 200 people at the Rangely Chamber of Commerce’s Crab Crack on Feb. 6 on the Colorado Northwestern Community College campus, the chamber also handed out their business awards of the year. Above, Rangely Chamber Executive Director Kristin Steele, left, presented Jeff Rector of DUCO Inc., with the Industry of the Year Award.
