RBC | We reported last week on Colorado Parks and Wildlife’s increasing concern about the prevalence of Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD) in the White River mule deer herd—and the formation this last April of a CWD Advisory Group charged with drafting a “CWD Response Plan” by November.
That group is to meet again July 25 in Rifle at the Colorado Mountain College campus, 3695 Airport Rd. (just south of the Rifle Airport), from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. (if necessary). Public participation is encouraged as the group is still looking for ideas to cope with the prevalence and spread of CWD. This is a new location.
Questions and ideas for the Advisory Group can be posted at [email protected] or, contact Travis Duncan, CPW Statewide, 303-866-3203, extension 4607.
