Dear Editor:
When the Rio Blanco County Farm Bureau Association Board voted to pursue scheduling the human trafficking trailer for presentations in the county, the biggest obstacle we faced was funding. As I approached other organizations to partner with us, the response was nothing less than overwhelming. Again and again, I am amazed at the heart of our community and thankful to call Rio Blanco County home.
Thank you to the following for making the upcoming Human Trafficking Awareness/Prevention Campaign possible both in Meeker and Rangely: Town of Rangely, VFW Post 5843, White River Electric Association, Meeker Lions Club, Rio Blanco County Commissioners, Rio Blanco County Sheriff, Commissioner Jeff Rector, Kevin Amack Agency—State Farm, Rio Blanco Herald Times, Meeker Regional Public Library, Colorado Northwestern Community College, Rangely Public Schools, TiRynn Hamblin—Rangely PD, Rangely Chamber of Commerce, Bear Mountain Inn, The Church at Meeker, Nita Smith—NLS Business Solutions, Clark’s, Little Cheese Shop/Blanco Cellars, Meeker Safe House, Meeker Arts and Cultural Council, Rob Baughman.
Thank you for giving of your resources and time to help protect our families and children.
Sincerely,
Nancy Amick, Sec/Treas.
