B. Curtis Smith, 78, died April 21, 2019, following a long illness.
Born Feb. 27, 1941, in Liberal, Kansas, he was the son of the late Charles and Mary Smith.
Curt graduated from Fort Hays State University in Hays, Kansas, with a bachelor’s degree in botany.
Curt had been employed by the Bureau of Land Management for 31 years where he retired in Meeker, Colorado, as the district manager and then spent another 20 years…
