Town of Meeker Water Operator/Assistant Superintendent Tobey Willey (right) and town employee Jak Kilduff (left) flushed a fire hydrant outside the HT building earlier this week.
The system is flushed once a year. “It makes sure we get good fresh water in the system and we make sure all the fire hydrants work if the fire department needs them,” Willey said. It also removes rust.
It’s great fun to watch all that water, but according to Willey, “it gets a little loud by the end of the day.”
