A very pleasant sight was witnessed by Meekerite’s Sunday morning, when a “drive” of cattle a mile long passed through back of town. The stock belonged to local owners who were shoving them down onto the winter range.

Cleveland — It looked like a riot until the police found that several hundred citizens were applying at the city hall for three jobs as whiskey testers.

Highlight of the Saturday night MHS football prom was the crowning of the 1970 Queen and her attendants. The Queen is Miss Terry Treat, who makes her home with the Gerald Dickmans. First attendant is Miss Mary Cook, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. K. James Cook, and second attendant, Miss Vickie Schnieder, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Schneider.
Former Meeker residents, Mr. and Mrs. Onea Miller of Colorado Springs, are announcing the birth of their firstborn, a son. They have named him Casey Wyatt.
