- The other day, a telegram was sent to Meeker from President Cleveland. It read, “We have 500 cowpunchers, ready at your call, for a fight with the ‘cigarettos.’ Reserve the right to furnish our own horses and grub. Signed, Dwight Edwin Ryland, president, and Harry French, secretary.”
- Travel has noticeably been on the increase.
- Cattlemen are very interested in exterminating the prairie dogs.
