Fair books for the 2011 Rio Blanco County Fair are out and fair board members Forrest Nelson, Danny Lapp, Adair Norman, Ed Coryell and Cindy Garner, (Mary Washburn) and Karen Arnold dedicated it to Mary Washburn and presented her with the first copy, which includes a tribute to her inside. “This year’s honoree, Mary Washburn, has been an inspiration and a guiding light in the lives of countless people and has been involved in the 4-H program for over 15 years,” reads the beginning of the tribute. “Flowers, Feathers & Old-Fashioned Fun,” is the theme for this year’s county fair, with cake decorating and the Encore Fashion show kicking it off today at the fairgrounds and shooting sports Saturday, July 23 at the range.
